Wishing you a very warm welcome!
I’m Laura, a Drama and Movement Therapist and Creative, Clinical Supervisor registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
I facilitate both individual and group Drama and Movement Therapy sessions in my private therapy space, located in Downend, in the beautiful and creative City of Bristol.
Alongside my many years of experience working both clinically and therapeutically to help people in different settings, such as NHS hospitals, schools, care centres and charitable organisations, I hold a Master’s degree in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London), and have received further training in order to offer supervisor to other metal health practitioners.
Bristol Dramatherapy was opened in July, 2016. Since then I have been privileged to provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and older people, all with very different needs.
My particular specialities include working with people experiencing:
- Anxiety and Stress Disorders
- Self-Harm and Eating Disorders
- Self Esteem & Confidence Issues
- Personality Disorders
- Grief, Loss and Bereavement
I also offer Drama and Movement Therapy Training, and am an associate lecturer in my field. I also utilise and draw upon my skills and training to deliver Mental Health Mentoring and workshops focusing on mental health and wellbeing.
If you, your organisation or someone you care about is interested in finding out more about the healing aspects of drama and creativity, please feel free to get in touch.
