Wishing you a very warm welcome!
I’m Laura, a Drama and Movement Therapist registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council and The British Association of Dramatherapists.
I facilitate both individual and group Drama and Movement Therapy sessions in my private therapy space, located in the beautiful and creative City of Bristol, while also setting up and running sessions for organisations within their own premises.
Alongside my many years of experience working both clinically and therapeutically to help people in different settings, such as NHS hospitals, schools, care centres and charitable organisations, I hold a Master’s degree in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London).
Throughout my career as a Drama and Movement Therapist I have been privileged to work with a wide range of children, adolescents, adults and older people, all with very different needs. These include people living with:
- Emotional, Behavioural, Social and Mental Health Issues
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Personality Disorders
- Depression, Stress and Anxiety Disorders
- Psychosis and Schizophrenia
- Learning Disabilities – ranging from Mild, to Profound and Multiple
- Dementia – ranging from Early to Later stages
- Palliative Care
- Loss and Bereavement
- Self-Harm and Eating Disorders
- Self Esteem Issues
I also offer Drama and Movement Therapy Training, and am an associate lecturer in my field. I also utilise and draw upon my skills and training to deliver Mental Health Mentoring and workshops focusing on mental health and wellbeing.
If you, your organisation or someone you care about is interested in finding out more about the healing aspects of drama and creativity, please feel free to get in touch.
