Welcome!

Welcome to Bristol Dramatherapy, a warm, creative, community‑based mental health practice offering mental health and wellbeing services to meet a variety of needs, ranging from Creative Art Psychotherapy to holding creative spaces just to feel and express ourselves.

I’m Laura, a registered Dramatherapist and Clinical Supervisor based in Bromley Heath, Downend.

Since opening Bristol Dramatherapy in 2016, I’ve been dedicated to offering accessible, humanistic, imaginative therapy and therapeutic spaces where people can feel safe, reconnect with themselves, and take time and space to rest and give opportunities to heal when life feels hard.

Dramatherapy is a type of psychotherapy which uses therapeutic techniques to creatively explore new perspectives. The arts give us a way to communicate and explore where words fail us, what may not seem to make sense.

I work a lot with imagery, metaphor and character-based work (a great way to understand different parts of yourself!). However music, movement, scene-making and writing also are used to explore what may be going on on a deeper level.

I offer a range of face-to-face and online services to meet the emotional, psychological needs of adults:

Alongside offering one‑to‑one creative therapy and therapeutic, creative, and educational workshops, I also offer some professional services for mental health professionals:

Please feel free to explore the website to find out more about the services I offer and a bit about me and my practice, or feel free to get in touch if you’d like to connect and find out if Bristol Dramatherapy can help support you and give you the safe space you’re looking for to breathe, ground, process and reflect.

Warmest wishes,
