THRIVE at Bristol Dramatherapy
Membership for Your Mental Health
Now accepting members before groups start in March 2026
For over a decade I’ve been privileged to offer creative therapy and clinical supervision through Bristol Dramatherapy (long may it continue!), and I’m delighted to now offer therapeutic wellbeing groups that support day‑to‑day mental health in a way that is lighter, more accessible, and more flexible than therapy.
These groups offer space to ground yourself on difficult days, build connection and community, focus your mind, and check in with yourself when life feels busy. They are not intended to replace therapy, but they are therapeutically informed spaces designed to help you move from simply “getting by” to feeling more resourced, connected, and able to thrive.
You are never expected to share anything you’re not comfortable sharing. There is no pressure to be “good” at being creative — when we create, we do so for expression, grounding, and joy.
All sessions take place face‑to‑face at The Bromley Therapy & Wellbeing, a warm, café‑like space. I’ve always been a fan of the ‘put the kettle on’ approach to mental health when that’s all that’s needed.
How Thrive Membership Works
Because these groups use a therapeutic approach and focus on mental health, an initial Membership Meet is required to ensure the sessions are a good fit for your needs.
- You only pay for the sessions you book
- You must attend at least one session every 3 months to keep your membership active
- If 3 months pass without attending, you’re welcome to book another Membership Meet to re‑establish membership
Groups Beginning March 2026
My Mind on Tasks (MOT) — Mondays, 7.15am
BOOK HEREAn early‑morning grounding and focusing group to help you set priorities for the day ahead. These sessions focus mostly on independent exercises rather than group sharing.
For those who want to:
- Destress before work
- Focus their thoughts
- Explore blockages around concentration
- Process feelings of burnout
- Start the week with their mental health in mind
Well, Naturally — Mondays, 9am
BOOK HEREA gentle, nature‑based group. We meet at the Bromley and walk to a nearby green space for grounding and reflection. When the weather isn’t ideal, we bring nature indoors and create a calm, restorative session.
For those who want to:
- Build connection with others
- Form new relationships
- Spend more time in nature
- Check in with themselves
- Pause and breathe
The Write Stuff — Wednesdays, 9.30am
BOOK HEREA creative writing group using reflection and creativity to explore thoughts and feelings. Sharing is optional and feedback focuses only on how the writing resonated personally with listeners — never on technical skill.
For those who want to:
- Learn more about themselves
- Explore writing as expression
- Enjoy creativity without pressure
Gets It Done — Wednesdays, 11.30am
BOOK HEREA supportive body‑doubling workspace for anyone who struggles with task avoidance or getting started. Includes brief one‑to‑one mentoring check‑ins with Laura and optional peer support.

Supporting Services
Member Check‑ins
Occasional one‑to‑one mentoring sessions to support your engagement in Thrive. These are not therapy, but a space to reflect on your experience and explore what might support you further.
Drop‑ins
Drop-in times for a free, brief chat (online or in person) for those curious about membership or wanting to ask questions before joining.
Whether you join a group every week, only drop in when you need extra support, or use Thrive alongside other therapeutic services, this space is here to help you feel more grounded, connected, and resourced.
My hope is that by offering accessible, cost‑effective, lighter‑touch support, we can help people stay afloat long before they need more intense support.
